Public Forum: Single Payer Health Care
YOU ARE INVITED to join Green Party members for a free panel discussion on
the merits of a national single-payer health care system. A single-payer
national health plan (also called Medicare For All) would provide guaranteed
quality health care to all Americans with their choice of physician,
regardless of employment status, income, residence, ability to pay, age, or
prior medical condition AND save money! Why has this option been taken off
the table by President Obama and Congress?
Find out more at a
free panel discussion moderated by George Friday, Co-Chair of the North
Carolina Green Party and featuring:
*Dr. Jonathan Kotch, Board Chair
of Health Care for All NC and senior faculty member at the UNC Chapel Hill
School of Public Health
*Justine McCabe, Ph.D., Co-Chair, GPUS
International Committee, former Co-Chair, Green Party of CT, Ph.D. alumna of
Duke University
*Pat LaMarche, 2004 Green Party Vice-Presidential
candidate, 2006 candidate for Governor of Maine
*Carl Romanelli,
2006 Green Party Candidate for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania, founding
member of Luzerne County Green Coalition
The forum takes place
Friday, July 24th from 3:30-4:30 PM in the Miller-Morgan Building on the
North Carolina Central University Campus. The Miller Morgan building is
located on Nelson Street, and is accessible from Fayetteville Street. A map
