BECOME A MEMBER
Thank you for your
interest in joining the North Carolina Green Party. The North Carolina
Green Party is a part of the Global Green movement for peace, justice,
ecology, and democracy.
Basic
Membership
Membership
in the
North Carolina Green Party consists of submitting an electronic
membership form or mailing in a paper membership form (see below).
Members are also asked to keep current contact information
on file with your local party
or with the state party. You may also
maintain your state membership by being a member of an accredited local
party.
Active
Membership
We
urge all members
to become active members by attending meetings, joining the online e-mail
lists, becoming a party officer, joining in party actions and
work, or running for public office as a Green. The most important work
of the party at the current time is petitioning for ballot
access, which requires a commitment from all active members
to put in one day each month gathering petition signatures.
Supporting
Membership
We
also urge members
to become supporting members by making a donation
toward Green Party organizing in North Carolina. A one-time donation is
greatly appreciated, and those who are able are encouraged to become
dollar-a-day sustainers.
